Bookings
We require a 50% deposit to confirm a booking, with full payment due 14 days prior to trip departure. If you are using a discount code the deposit will be 50% of the full amount, not the discounted amount. The deposit helps to ensure we can make the appropriate arrangements with the remote communities that we partner with. If these timings are not possible for practical reasons, others will be specified.
Cancellations
We will refund 50% of the total trip cost if you cancel up to 14 days prior to departure. If we are able to fill your space on a trip after cancellation we will reimburse the full amount at our discretion, less a 10% admin fee. If we cancel a trip prior to departure due to safety or other considerations, we will refund you any payment you have made to us, less a 10% admin fee. Any charges your bank makes for money transfers will be deducted from refunds.
Payment
We accept payment by credit card through the Trekksoft online payment gateway on our website, direct cash deposits to our account, cash in person, or online transfer. If you do not pay through the gateway our bank details are provided in our invoice. Please note that a booking fee may apply depending on the exact method of payment.
Waiver
As with many other outdoor activities providers we require you to sign a waiver of liability as a condition of participation. This form also requires you to provide us with any relevant medical information and an emergency contact number.
Travel insurance
Our itineraries take you walking in remote areas in the interior of Fiji. Our walks are not at high altitude and do not require specialist mountain climbing equipment. In the unlikely event of an emergency we may need to request helicopter evacuation. We require you to have travel insurance that covers you for the walking activities as specified in your itinerary and emergency evacuation.
Luggage and personal items
We will handle your luggage with the utmost care, and do our best to look after it. However, we do not accept responsibility for any damage or loss.
General
We reserve the right to refuse your participation in a trip or to change an itinerary in the interests of safety whether relating to a person’s fitness, the weather conditions, inappropriate behaviour or any other factor.
